A couple of weeks ago I had lunch at Season’s 52 located at Arden Fair Mall. If you’ve never been before, maybe this will motivate you to have lunch or dinner at one of Sacramento’s finest restaurants and enjoy some local flavor. Yes, local flavor at Season’s 52 which has restaurants in 18 states, and here in CA we’re lucky to have 4 locations.
Choose something from the Summer Menu. Here you’ll find Blistered Shishito Peppers with fresh peppers and tomatoes harvested in West Sac. The Fig & Bacon entree with arugula tomatoes or the bowl of summer corn have ingredients that are also Farm 2 Fork friendly and as fresh as it gets!
Originally from New Orleans, Executive Chef Russell Johnigan has called California home for more than 20 years and has been a professional chef just as long. He takes pride in his work and the fresh, local ingredients that go into the dishes he creates. They always have seasonally inspired items on their menu that feature ingredients that are in season and always fresh.
One thing I love about Season’s 52, is that’s it’s a casual atmosphere, yet you feel like you’re eating some of the best, most sophisticated Farm-to-Fork style cuisine. They have a really cool brick oven, which allows them to use rustic cooking technics and open-fire grilling that brings out those delicious natural flavors.
I can’t eat anything without a treat at the end of the meal, so be sure to order some dessert! I went with the Pecan Pie with vanilla bean mousse and have no regrets…except that I didn’t order one to take home.
